I teach middle school English and Advanced Math at Father Andrew White. This is my twelfth year of teaching. I was born in Seattle, Washington and moved to St. Mary’s County when I was 6 months old. I have lived here ever since. After graduating from Leonardtown High School, I attended the College of Southern Maryland where I received my Associates in Engineering. I then went on to get my BS in electrical engineering from University of Maryland, College Park. I worked at the defense contractor, JF Taylor, Inc. for about five years and then decided to stay at home with my children. When child number four started pre-school, I started a math enrichment program for grades kindergarden through 4th grade at Father Andrew White. Because of that experience, I decided teaching was what I wanted to do. I received my teaching certification in secondary math (7th -12th grade) from the College of Notre Dame. I also hold certification in middle school math. In addition to the four children mentioned above, in 2011, our family adopted a 4 year old little girl from Ethiopia.

My favorite things to do are to plan and go on vacation in the summer. I love to read, go to my kids sporting events, and hang out with friends. What I love about Father Andrew White the most is the kids.
